Commission Progression

Happy Tuesday Art Fam-
Having received a commission last week or so from Jessie Runsvoldt
Bought 4 good size 24x36 stretched Canvas
and about 8 new request colors to use in the direction of "Tropical" and "Hispanic feel".

I started out with a handful of sketches toward my initial take's for idea and composition.

Here are the first stages of the 4 canvas i started the day i got them, with no photos looked at to harvest composition or idea…just goin' at it!

Heres the second layers…

And the Third Layers

in these next 4th and fifth layers i picked up 4 more 24x36" stretched canvas,
sensing i needed to let the first 4 marinate…and also come back at the commission from another angle.

I love the freedom to paint expressive abstractions, what i used to call "Feelism"- Functioning purely on instinct…When letting the muse lead, the composition's discovered. Juxtapositions and inner meanings are more than could ever have been planned for:)

Here are the first few stages of the next 3 canvas started in the direction of One Painting Jessie will have fallen in Love with:)  Thats always the hope as an artist, finding someone who will provide a good home for our work, ideas or maybe ultimately memories?
(I started all 4.. but i found one i wanted to paint that was vertical…i felt it had some tropical pizzaz.
I will share a picture at the end:)

so here we are…7 paintings started in hopes one will be perfect!
None are done, yet:)... I'm 3-4 days in.

I started with 4 Canvas Panel Palettes and 2 other stretched linen/canvas that i used feeling out the color's a bit more:)  Heres a few pictures of the 2… not sure if either are done…but i think the less skinny one may be done.

Thanksgiving to the First week of December,Art

Welcome to My Second Blog!

I've been hustling on some Gift/format Art's and a dozen Flat Brimmed Trucker hats
for the up n'coming seasonal push to buy things

These 47%cotton, 25%polyester, and 28%nylon "Classic, Mesh back Flat Brimmed Trucker Hats are not labeled with a size…but they have the standard adjustable snapping plastic back set-up and they are THE PERFECT FITTING/SIZE hat for me (as i have a pretty large cranium- 7. 3/8"-7.5")

Me in Taos sporting one of my first 2 Hats painted on the Style/Size caps I'm buying these days.

These Hats are for sale for $50+shipping n' Handling
(Acrylic, Latex)
The first hat is the only one that is a different size/style
There are about 4 more I didn't get to post yet.

One of my MAIN Techniques, in fact The First Step is to layer paper's, fabrics, garments and canvas.

I don't really "hesitate" in the classic sense so once i get going i don't like to stop..
As i painted the Hats, there were watercolor paper and scraps of other papers so i could mix colors
with the zeal of a child with his first hundred pack of Crayola crayons
(WITH THE SHARPENER!) on something i would use to "Altar" other ideas later
Here is one of the "Under Layer-Arts" i like that may be done or may become more later:)

This Bright Spring Color design is painted on a thin Linen, with Various Jacquard paints. http://www.jacquardproducts.com check em' out if you haven't yet.. they have everything..and MORE!

You may have noticed more Surface Design for Garb/Fabric in what photos i post,
Over the last few years i have been more inclined to push and pull ideas from my "ART"
and work out the visual equations and philosophies for Fashion on the fabric.
Here is an idea i divined from one of my pieces/processes that i am working out more.
I am planning to "make" some Yardage of some of these.
The originals are Also FOR SALE.

Having started Painting india ink, and acrylic, colored pencil on some Watercolor Greeting Cards
for the holidays I decide to making some "limited run copy/edition's" to sell for standard greeting card prices (specific info once i print some up) and will be selling the originals in "Fine Art/Card Packs".

The "Fine Art/Card Packs" will have one ORIGINAL card and 3 limited edition cards of one series and 2 of another…for variety:) So Total 1-ORIGINAL hand painted Art Card and 5-limited edition.

Over the next 2 weeks i will be getting the "Fine Art/Card Packs" together
Again -specific info once i get them more together but
Please E-Mail or Post interest in the Comments.

If anyone remembers "Yogurt On The Rox" on the Main street in Ashland OR,
or what now is "Star Sushi" you probably remember the AWESOME MURAL!

Well...IT'S GONE.
Having been blessed to be part of collaborating with another exiting Ashland Artist,
Rachel Rose, on Said mural, Handicap Restroom portion…Not sure if anyone got to see it and was inspired by the work but i was proud of what i was able to add in to Rachel's BEAUTIFUL work while feeling like i kept enough of her work to call it a collaboration.
Here's a link of a Walkthrough DURING painting

I really love the idea divined here in this image
of buildings/city floral arrangement that was to be above the Toilet
….also kind of a bummer but the mirror was put over top the hanging Kite/Face..
although now that it's been painted over..maybe that mirror is the saving grace!

I actually "Painted Frames" onto the wall to then rotate artwork of a standard size within.

I decided to create my own "eLixer" labe'sl…as i have been
thinking bout a bit of whiskey again lately and i want to have my own label on there:)
and plus There are "Hidden Messages in Water" when we decide to talk to it!
heres a MUST-SEE link about Dr. Masaru Emoto's work
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAvzsjcBtx8

I am exited about what i learned between the first one i drew before i
set the label on the bottle and the next 2…as i have been trying to get ahold of a winery
or brewery that would be willing and EXITED to hear out some of my idea's

Well heres the second blog..
being figured out as i do it…a META-cognative Strategy:)

Well folks Thanks for, as we hooligans say "peeping game"
                                   and as always
"May The Muse Be With You!"
